BYD Atto 3 Evo: 4WD, 800V Charging, and 3.9s 0-100 km/h! Full Review (2026)

The BYD Atto 3 Evo electric crossover has been unveiled, promising a powerful and efficient driving experience. With an 800V high-voltage system, 4WD, and faster charging capabilities, it's set to revolutionize the market. The Atto 3 Evo will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and charge from 10 to 80% in a mere 25 minutes. This impressive performance is a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Atto 3, which was one of the first BYD-branded new energy cars to go global four years ago. The Atto 3 is sold in China under the Yuan Plus name. The new generation of the Atto 3 was exposed by the Chinese regulator in October 2025, revealing a substantial power and range boost. The Atto 3 Evo's entry-level model features a single e-motor in the rear axle, producing 230 kW (308 hp) and 380 Nm, which is 107 hp more than the current Atto 3. The e-motor has been moved from the front to the rear axle, resulting in a 5.5-second acceleration to 100 km/h. The range is 650 km under CLTC conditions. The Atto 3 Evo is also available with all-wheel drive, offering 330 kW (443 hp) and 580 Nm, with a 3.9-second acceleration time. The 4WD version provides up to 510 km of range, thanks to the 74.88 kWh battery pack. One of the standout features of the Atto 3 Evo is its five-link independent rear suspension, ensuring a smooth and comfortable ride. Despite the introduction of new technology, the Atto 3 Evo's exterior design remains largely unchanged, with subtle changes like the charging port moved to the rear fender. The dimensions are 4455/1875/1615 mm with a wheelbase of 2,720 mm, and a 101-liter frunk has been added for enhanced practicality. The interior boasts a stalk gear shifter, a 15.6-inch touchscreen, and an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster. Other amenities include a wireless charging pad and an increased trunk capacity of 490 liters. Stay tuned for more electric vehicle updates and follow us for the latest news.
